Privacy Policy

1. Our Core Privacy Promise: 100% Client-Side
At DevZen, we believe your developer data, tokens, configuration files, and utility inputs belong strictly to you. Unlike traditional online utility websites that transmit your inputs to a backend server for parsing, encoding, or formatting, DevZen executes 100% of these computations locally inside your web browser.
Any text, JSON, code, or images you paste, upload, or generate using our tools are processed in memory on your local machine using client-side JavaScript APIs. No database logs, server storage, or API calls are used to process tool content.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, intercept, inspect, or store any data that you insert into our textboxes, upload to our converters, or generate using our tools. This includes, but is not limited to:
- JSON files, payloads, or values formatted using the JSON Formatter.
- Secrets, payloads, or signatures decoded using the JWT Decoder.
- Text or files converted via our Base64, Hex, or Image Converter tools.
- Passwords or security keys created using the Password Generator.
3. Analytics & Usage Metrics
To maintain site performance and optimize user flows, we gather aggregate, non-personally identifiable site analytics.
We use PostHog Analytics to understand basic navigation trends, such as which tools are accessed most frequently. PostHog tracks page visits, browser types, and button interactions (e.g., clicking "Format" or "Copy"). It never captures or records raw user text inputs or tool payload content.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
To keep DevZen free and sustainable, we display advertising through the Google AdSense network.
Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites on the Internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visits to our site and/or other sites. You may opt-out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings or by using browser-level ad blockers.
